Kobil Uganda

Kobil Uganda Limited is a established petroleum distribution company that began operations in 1999 as the first subsidiary of the Kenya-based KenolKobil Group outside its home market. 

The company offers a comprehensive range of downstream petroleum and commercial energy services:

• Retail fuel distribution: Marketing of automotive fuels through a nationwide network of service stations, most of which have transitioned to the Rubis brand.

• Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG): Distribution of K-Gas, one of Uganda's leading cooking gas brands, supported by a modern storage and filling plant in Nalukolongo.

• Lubricants and engine care: Supply of high-quality automotive and industrial lubricants and specialty fluids designed for various machinery and vehicle types.

• Bulk and industrial supply: Providing large-scale fuel deliveries and storage solutions for the construction, manufacturing, and transport sectors.

• Fuel terminal and depot management: Operation of major storage facilities, including a high-volume terminal in Jinja that serves the wider Eastern Uganda region.

• Non-fuel retail services: Integration of convenience stores and partnerships with quick-service cafes at station sites to enhance the customer experience.

• Corporate fleet management: Provision of fuel card systems (transitioning to the Rubis Card) for secure, cashless payments and real-time consumption monitoring.

• Aviation fuel services: Coordination of specialized fuel supplies and technical support for aviation clients within the regional network.
