Galana Energies Uganda Limited is a regional energy company and a subsidiary of the Mauritius-based Galana Group, which entered the Ugandan market as part of a strategic expansion into East Africa. The company was established in 1994 as a trading unit in Mauritius and has since evolved into a major player in the importation, storage, and distribution of refined petroleum products across the East African coast and inland markets. In Uganda, Galana is widely recognized for its "Delta" retail brand and its significant investments in logistics and storage infrastructure, particularly through its involvement in the Kenya-Uganda petroleum corridor.

The company provides a wide range of integrated energy, trading, and logistical services within the petroleum sector:

  • Retail fuel marketing: Operating a network of modern service stations under the Delta brand, providing high-quality petrol and diesel to the motoring public.

  • Bulk fuel importation and trading: Managing large-scale imports of refined petroleum products (PMS, AGO, and Kerosene) through the ports of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam for the Ugandan market.

  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas distribution: Marketing and distributing Delgas for domestic cooking and industrial heating applications.

  • Lubricants and specialty fluids: Distributing a specialized range of high-performance automotive and industrial lubricants across its retail and commercial networks.

  • Commercial and industrial supply: Providing bulk energy solutions and tailored fuel delivery contracts for the manufacturing, construction, and transport industries.

  • Storage and terminaling services: Utilizing its significant storage capacity at regional terminals to ensure consistent product security and supply for landlocked markets.

  • Logistics and supply chain management: Coordinating an extensive fleet of tankers and leveraging regional pipelines to move fuel efficiently across the East African trade routes.
