EACOP Ltd is a specialized cross-border infrastructure company established to manage the construction and operation of a 1,443-kilometer heated crude oil pipeline.
The company provides specialized midstream infrastructure services and manages large-scale logistical operations:
Pipeline Engineering and Construction: Managing the technical installation of a 24-inch diameter insulated pipeline from Hoima (Uganda) to Tanga (Tanzania).
Thermal Management Systems: Overseeing the installation of Electrical Heat Tracing (EHT) and heating stations to keep Uganda’s waxy crude oil in a liquid state at 50°C during transit.
Marine Terminal Operations: Developing and managing the specialized Tanga Port facilities, including an export jetty and a fleet of storage tanks for international shipping.
Land Acquisition and Resettlement: Implementing the Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) for thousands of project-affected persons (PAPs) across both Uganda and Tanzania, ensuring fair compensation and housing.
Environmental and Social Safeguards: Executing biodiversity offset programs and managing the project in accordance with the IFC Performance Standards to minimize ecological impact.
National Content Procurement: Facilitating the participation of local companies in the supply chain, including contracts for civil works, logistics, and camp management.
Logistics and Transport Management: Coordinating the movement of tens of thousands of individual pipe segments from international coating plants to the pipeline route.
Safety and Security Oversight: Managing high-level industrial safety protocols and security along the 1,443km corridor to protect personnel and infrastructure.
