Public Education: Brokers act as consultants to the public, simplifying the complex language of insurance policies, helping clients understand coverage, and ensuring they receive maximum value from their premiums.
Claims Advocacy: IBAU members guide clients through the claims process, helping with documentation and follow-ups to ensure fair and timely compensation.
Capacity Building: The association partners with institutions like the Insurance Training College (ITC) to offer professional development and training programs, such as the Chartered Insurance Broking Program, to equip brokers with the necessary expertise.
Market Stability: Brokers help manage substantial risks by distributing them among multiple insurance companies, thereby avoiding the concentration of exposure with a single insurer.
