Kangumamu Agro Processors and Exporters Company Ltd (also known as Kangumamu AGRO) is a humanitarian based, family-run coffee trading company in Uganda. Operating for over 30 years with a strong base in the Sheema District, it specializes in the ethical sourcing, processing, and international export of high quality Arabica and Robusta coffee beans, ensuring fair trade practices for smallholder farmers.

• Farmer Oriented Approach: The company operates on a principle of securing better livelihoods for farmers, providing micro loans, equipment, and training to over 4,000 coffee farmers in Uganda to improve quality and ensure fair wages by cutting out middlemen.

• Product Sourcing & Quality: Kangumamu sources coffee from high quality regions across Uganda. One of their premium offerings is Virunga coffee, a single origin, 100% Arabica, medium-roasted blend with floral, fruity, nutty, and chocolatey flavors.

• Processing & Export: The firm buys and mills coffee (both Arabica and Robusta) which is then sold directly to roasteries and trading companies both locally and internationally, including the Chinese market with the support of Africa Reimagined.

• Community Support: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the company provides beehives to coffee farmers, facilitating a partnership with a local honey company and supporting 800 families out of poverty over the last decade.

• Leadership: The company is now led by Frandan Tumukunde, a social entrepreneur who grew up in a smallholder coffee growing family in the region.
