EzyAgric

EzyAgric is an ag-tech company based in Kampala, Uganda, that digitizes the agricultural value chain to provide production, marketing, and financial services to farmers and agribusinesses. Founded in 2015 (originally as Akorion Company Limited), the for-profit enterprise aims to make agriculture easy and profitable through a digital marketplace and extension services. By early 2026, the company has impacted over 300,000 farmers across Uganda through its aapp, web platform, and network of village agents. 

• Digital Marketplace: The platform links farmers with over 60 input manufacturers to purchase genuine seeds, fertilizers, crop protection tools, and equipment.

• Extension and Advisory Services: It provides agronomic information, seasonal activity reminders, and expert support. Smartphone users can access the app with zero-rated data, while others can use a toll-free SMS or USSD service.

• Farm Management: Features include garden mapping via GPS, record books for tracking income and expenses, and cost-benefit analysis tools to improve financial visibility.

• Financial Inclusion: By capturing farm transactions, the platform builds credit profiles for farmers, facilitating access to digital loans and reducing loan turnaround times by up to 60%.

• Market Access: The app connects farmers directly to aggregation centers and better-paying buyers, facilitating over $500 million in transactions annually for agribusinesses.

• Job Creation: The organization has created over 12,500 jobs, primarily for youth and women who serve as community-based agricultural agents or digital champions.

• Expansion Strategy: As of 2026, the company is scaling its nationwide presence beyond Central Uganda to the Western, Northern, and Eastern regions, with long-term goals to enter the Kenyan and Tanzanian markets.
