Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is Uganda's leading integrated poultry company and a recognized household brand. Established in 1990 as a small breeder farm, it has grown into a vertically integrated enterprise providing quality day-old chicks, animal feeds, and chicken meat products through an extensive network across Uganda and East Africa.
Integrated Operations: BPIL manages the entire poultry value chain, from parent stock farms and hatcheries to a modern abattoir and a network of 40+ retail branches.
Day-Old Chicks (DOCs): Production facilities produce over 1.5 million quality DOCs per week, including both broiler and layer breeds, distributed to small and medium-scale farmers.
Animal Feeds (Tyson Feeds): Operates a state-of-the-art, fully automated mill with a 60,000 MT p.a. capacity, producing HACCP-certified feeds for poultry, dairy, and pigs under the Tyson Feeds brand.
Chicken Meat Products (Pearl Chicken): The processing plant/abattoir in Kigunga near Mukono is ISO 22000:2018 and Halal certified, processing over 90,000 birds per week. Products are sold under the Pearl Chicken and Biyinzika Chicken brands through 21 specialized shops, wholesalers, hotels, and retailers.
Farmer Empowerment: BPIL supports thousands of household economies by supplying inputs, equipment, and free technical support/training to farmers through its countrywide distribution network.
